Assembly Reports
Have different individually configurable reports of your schematics generated and updated automatically. Create high-quality project documentations in a pleasant layout and format, for example: table of contents, title or cover sheet, structure identifier overview, symbol overview, connection list, terminal diagram, terminal line-up diagram, plug diagram, cable diagram and cable assignment diagram.
Interfacing
Eliminate time-consuming and error-prone manual data input. Simply export device data in CSV, TXT or XML format for use in your labeling system. The function for exporting as a PDF file allows output of the documentation as an intelligent PDF file in which the hyperlink cross-references and page structure of the original project are retained. This means that you dispose of a reliable, cost-neutral and user-friendly method of archiving project data and releasing them for common use. If supplying of the documentation in CAD format is required, you can realize your project with EPLAN to reduce design costs and then simply export it in DFX/DWG format in order to meet the requirements of the end user.
Article Reports (BOM)
Have individually configurable reports of project components generated and updated automatically. This includes parts lists, summarized parts list and device tag lists. Subsequently pass the bill of materials in TXT, XML or CSV file format to the Purchasing department in order to have sufficient time for the procurement of components having a long lead time so that manufacturing and mounting can take place as planned.
Mounting Panel
The "Mounting panel" module will accelerate and simplify your panel layout notably. All the placed and unplaced project components can be managed in a special navigator so that you can be sure that all the components relevant for enclosure manufacturing have been installed correctly. This module also provides you with the flexibility of beginning designing with a mounting panel and a still provisional bill of materials. Have the enclosure legend inserted automatically – and your panel layout page forms the perfect template for high-quality and rapid enclosure manufacturing.

Overview Reports
The overview reports are combined lists of all the cables, plugs, potentials and terminals strips that are used in a project. They represent a convenient possibility of reporting these project elements and their respective properties in a compact format.
Concurrent Engineering (Multi-User Access)
Collaborative engineering develops its full potential in particular when several designers work on the same project at the same time, access it and can view the changes made by other users in real time. EPLAN uses the multi-user function to control and coordinate parallel editing of a project automatically. Data accesses are managed and all the changes are passed on directly via the network to all the workstations. All the project participants are up-to-date at all times - an unbeatable advantage since the focus in project editing always lies on completion to schedule while ensuring quality.
Single Line
When starting a project or during the initial design phase the most important point is generally to obtain an overview of the overall configuration of a machine or plant. Single line display is ideal in order to create clearly structured and easily comprehensible schematics rapidly in particular in the field of drive technology or of cable connections between the individual part components. You can naturally already evaluate information from these schematics during this early project stage and, for example, use bills of materials to coordinate orders for long-term components or already provide mounting documents by means of cable reports. All the information is available for the further project course even if you later toggle between single-line and multi-line displays.
Revision Management
EPLAN ensures that you can monitor changes carried out on the project rapidly, simply and reliably. Design changes are tracked automatically and you obtain various revision and comparison reports in detailed list format or as a graphical representation. In addition you can "freeze" the project status in specific stages by assigning a write protection to projects.
Multi-Language Translation
Chinese wire diagrams? Bill of materials in Russian? No problem, thanks to EPLAN's complete Unicode-compatibility. Create schematics in your mother tongue and translate them in a single process in other languages in order to facilitate cooperation with your international partners.
Project Management
With this module you can manage all the EPLAN projects in the entire IT network structure of your company and structure them centrally in EPLAN as individual projects or in project groups. A central user interface can be used to copy, back up, compress projects, send them by e-mail, file them off and edit their properties or see which employees are working on a specific project.
Graphical Reports
Graphical reports rapidly provide you with an overview. These automatically created reports encompass terminal, plug, cable and device connection diagrams. Use this function to generate high-quality mounting documents that support the colleagues in the workshop optimally guarantee high-quality manufacturing. No long searching or tedious reading out of the schematics, but rather simply wire 1:1 or connect as shown in the report. It doesn't get any simpler.
Change of Standard
It does not necessarily have to be a tedious task to meet the design requirements of your international customers. EPLAN converts schematics that have been drawn up in IEC standards automatically into schematics of other standards (such as IEC-, NFPA and vice versa), with the project structure, plot frame symbols and reports being changed over.
